Here at Australia Zoo we just love animals - from the tiniest lizard to the biggest elephant! Australia Zoo is a great environment for our animals - it provides not only a haven for our collection of over one hundred different species including Steve's favourites the Crocodile, Asian Elephant, Tiger and Cheetah, but is also a great platform for those same animals to act as ambassadors for their cousins in the wild, giving Australia Zoo the ability to educate the world about animal conservation and increase the chances of protecting all wildlife.

Fancy cuddling up to one of our furry, feathered or scaly friends? You can have your photo taken by one of our professional photographers with a koala, snake, possum or baby alligator - or even have a 'magic photo' taken with Steve or Terri Irwin in our green screen studio. Make your mates jealous!
Feed the Animals
From tiny baby piglets to MASSIVE Asian Elephants, there are loads of opportunities to feed the animals at Australia Zoo. Be sure to check out the incredible Roo Heaven, a large, naturalistic home for our kangaroos, where you can hand-feed to your heart's content!
Harriet
Harriet the Giant Galapagos Land Tortoise was a friend to all at Australia Zoo, a cherished member of the Sunshine Coast community, a respected long-time Queenslander and a treasure of the international conservation world. Her remarkable history has been a point of fascination and extensive research for many years, and generations of Australians have known and loved this extraordinary old lady.
